Your initial consultation will last about half an hour, during which I will take time to understand your problem, arrange any necessary tests, and formulate a treatment plan with you.
You may need a follow-up consultation to discuss any test results and treatments required.
Please bring the following with you if you have them:
I regularly see self-referring patients and do not require a letter of referral. To get the most out of your appointment, please ensure you have a copy of any dental X-rays where relevant.
If you need surgery, I will take time to explain the operation required and the recovery, risks and consequences of the procedure.
My secretary will book your date for surgery and the hospital will arrange any pre-admission tests to ensure your experience is stress-free.
The majority of my patients go home on the same day as their operation, so will need someone to collect them from hospital.
After a few days or weeks, depending on the operation, I will see you to assess how you have healed after surgery and/or to discuss any pathology results. I will encourage you to discuss any concerns you have and will advise on any further care required.
