Mr Spencer Hodges FDSRCS FRCS
I am a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon, working in London and the South East. I treat patients with problems relating to the face, jaws and teeth as well as the head and neck.
I hold an NHS consultant post at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London. I also treat patients privately in London and the South East, with clinics at the The Blackheath Hospital and Chelsfield Park Hospital
A little about me
I trained at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. After specialising in oral and maxillofacial surgery, I undertook further training during a fellowship in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
In 2011, I was appointed as consultant in oral and maxillofacial surgery at King’s College Hospital, a renowned London teaching hospital.
I have a special interest in the aesthetics of the face. My areas of expertise in maxillofacial surgery include correcting facial deformity, reconstructing faces following skin cancer removal and rebuilding the face after severe injuries. I am a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team at King’s College Hospital.
I have published on a wide range of areas within maxillofacial surgery, and regularly teach undergraduate and postgraduate students and other medical professionals. I review scientific papers for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
I live in South London with my wife and two children.
Client Story
My jaw operation has given me great confidence . After being very anxious about the idea of surgery, going ahead with it has been the best decision I’ve made. I’m glad that my teeth are now in the best possible position, in order to give me a lifetime of better dental health. Would like to say a big thank you to my consultant surgeon and the oral surgery team for their support and care.
RM,
